Recreational Soccer Program Overview:

Welcome to our Recreational Soccer Program, where we strive to create an engaging and dynamic learning environment for families. Our focus is on skill development and fostering a genuine passion for the beautiful game. We've designed a game-based curriculum to enhance the learning experience, encouraging players to embrace mistakes, express creativity, and develop into confident and brave athletes. Our program is built on player development following four key coaching principles:

  1. Players experience joy through Hard Work and Effort
  2. Players build confidence through Positive Team Spirit.
  3. Players grow most through Positive Coaching.
  4. Players thrive when Learning and Improving is continuous.

  • The program spans 16 weeks (Mid October to end of February)
  • League season Training Weekdays / Games on Sunday (Alternate Saturday)

  • If Phoenix doesn’t have enough teams, in conjunction with the parent's teams may be placed in the EMSA League

Coaching:

  • Our program relies on parent volunteers for roles such as Coach, Assistant Coach, and Team Manager to contribute to the program's overall success. Volunteer coaches are given an honorarium and can receive ongoing training and mentorship from Phoenix FC technical staff. A centralized curriculum is implemented through cohort training, supported by Google Classrooms organized by the Program Director, Technical Team, Junior Technical Coaches and Jr. Coach program.
