Referee Courses - Outdoor
Dates for the 2023 Outdoor Referee Courses in Sherwood Park
have been confirmed. Please see below for the course levels
that will be offered, as well as a link to register for courses.
All courses will be held at the SPDSA Trainings Facility

Entry Level - This 1 day courses will be held on April 15 and April 22, 2023. In Class & On-Field Session will be one the same day at the SPDSA Trainings Facility 170, 3001 Buckingham Drive.
The April 15 Session will run from 12.30PM - 6.30PM
The April 22 Session will run from 9AM - 3.30PM
Only one of these courses need to be taken.
The cost for this course is $136.24 and you are required to register online via your Ref Centre Account and then you pay for your course online.
- This course is for 14 years old and older and they must have achieved their 14th birthday by May 15 2023

Mini Course - This 1 day course will be held on April 15 and April 22, 2023 and take place at the SPDSA Trainings Facility at 170, 3001 Buckingham Drive.
The April 15 Session will run from 10AM - 2.30PM
The April 22 Session will run from 1.30PM - 5.30PM
Only one of these courses need to be taken
The cost for this course is $26.25 and you are required to register online via your Ref Centre Account.
- This course is for referees who are 12 years by May 15 2023 and older and want to take part in the SPDSA referee development

Refresher (Outdoor) - This 1 day course will be held on three dates (Only need to attend one date) -
March 11 - 11:30AM - 2:30PM - SPDSA Trainings Facility
April 4 - 5:30PM - 8:30PM - SPDSA Trainings Facility
April 6 - 5:30PM - 8:30PM - SPDSA Trainings Facility
There is no cost to this course, but you must register online via your Ref Centre account
- All referees must attend a refresher course prior to each season they wish to officiate in (starting the season after they first take the entry level course)
- Referees are not eligible to officiate unless they've attended a refresher (and completed the Outdoor questionnaire)
- Participants will receive all updates and changes on the FIFA Laws of the Game at the refresher
