U15 GIRLS - Competitive (Indoor 2024/25)


Program: Competitive 

Age Group: U15 (Birth Year 2010 & 2011)

Price: Earlybird - $990 (until August 25); $1,100 (starting August 26)

Program/ Development Overview: 

This program is for players wishing to participate within a competitive soccer environment, continue their skill development while fostering a love for the game. A game-based curriculum has been created to improve the rate of learning and develop brave players unafraid of making mistakes and excited to express their creativity in competitive moments. Our program is built on player development following four key coaching principles:

  1. Players experience joy through Hard Work and Effort
  2. Players build confidence through Positive Team Spirit.
  3. Players grow most through Positive Coaching.
  4. Players thrive when Learning and Improving is continuous.

Program Timeline: 

The program duration spans 6 months

Assessments and Preseason in September; League play in October, November, December, January, and February; Potential Post-season Alberta Soccer Association's Provincial Championships in March (qualification based on final EMSA league standing).  

Technical Overview and Commitment: 

  • 6 Preseason sessions (3 Tech led and 3 team led)
  • 18-week regular season consisting of 1 technical lead cohort session, 1 team session and 1 league match (typical week) 
  • Training and game sessions range from 1 to 1.5 hours 
  • Training sessions conclude at the end of February 

League Participation: 

  • Edmonton Minor Soccer Association (EMSA) league 
  • Approximately 14-16 games
  • Competitive Youth Program will participate in Tier 3 Boarded EMSA league.

Coaching: 

  • Volunteer coaches with a CPIC clearance that will receive resources, ongoing training, and mentoring by Phoenix FC technical staff 
  • Centralized curriculum implemented through cohort training 
  • Google Classrooms organized by the Program Director to inform players and parents of any program updates and details. It will be used as the primary platform to get information to the players and families including session plans, development workshops and learning tools.

Fee Exclusions

  • Fees DO NOT cover clothing or uniform purchases, extra training fees, tournament entry fees, or related travel costs.

  • Parent volunteers are needed for various roles
  • Please note that Team Fundraising is also quite common.

Schedule and Changes

  • Training and practice schedules are contingent on EMSA league schedule. 
  • Schedules are subject to change with league updates released one week prior to startup. 

 

Add-Ons: EMSA Futsal League

In addition to regular EMSA League play and trainings, the EMSA Futsal add-on features 1x Futsal league game a week (x14 weeks).
