Empower Her - Camp for Female Athletes (U15-U19)


This is a pilot project welcoming and encouraging participation of female athletes from all tiers of Phoenix FC programming!

This camp promotes fitness and wellness for female athletes ages 13-19. 

Join us for an afternoon camp that offers athletes an introduction to a broad range of topics in the realm of fitness and wellness.

The camp is run by qualified fitness coach, yoga instructor and mental health and wellness practitioner, Mel Russell!  

Supported by: Long-time Coach and leader, Amanda Smith 

Topics include:
1. Group Workout - Circuit training, resistance training with light weights, tube and ladder training, balance, agility, coordination, cardiovascular, muscular strength, and endurance.
2. Emotional Health, Wellbeing, and Value of Teamwork - stress management for youth, school and sport balance, nutrition, sleep and rest. 
3. Yoga and Mindfulness - Full body stretching, body awareness and breathing techniques focused on visualization and internal check-in. 

When: Friday, February 9 from 12-3pm.
Where: Phoenix FC Clubhouse gym and classroom.
What to bring: water bottle, runners, workout gear, healthy snack, yoga mat (if available), and a PEAK attitude! 
Cost: $60
