Learning to Fly: Goalkeeping Academy

Age Group: U8-U11

Program/ Development Overview:

Completely new to goalkeeping? Are you just curious to learn what it is like to put the gloves on, or maybe just want to get more confident with the fundamentals? Our Goalkeeper Clinic is the perfect opportunity for aspiring goalies to receive professional training in a fun and engaging environment. We will help you establish good fundamentals and teach you how to best protect yourself while you keep your goal. Program Timeline:

This opportunity is open to all Phoenix FC keepers, from Tiers 1-4.

April 20 @ Phoenix Facility - 9:00-10:15 am

April 27 @ Emerald Hills - 9:00-10:30 am

May 4 @ Emerald Hills - 9:00-10:30 am

May 11 @ Millennium Place - 9:30-11:00 am

May 11 @ Millennium Place Field D - 9:30-11:00 am

May 18 @ Millennium Place - 9:30-11:00 am

May 25 @ Millennium Place - 9:30-11:00 am

June 1 @ Millennium Place - 9:30-11:00 am

June 8 @ Millennium Place - 9:30-11:00 am

June 15 @ Millennium Place - 9:30-11:00 am

June 22 @ Millennium Place - 9:30-11:00 am

June 29 @ Millennium Place - 9:30-11:00 am

July 6 @ Millennium Place - 9:30-11:00 am

Technical Overview and Commitment:

Once a week.

Keepers will be training in groups, with other individuals of similar skill level and age.

Coaching:

The program will be led by Phoenix FC program directors and junior coaches, receiving ongoing training, and mentored by Phoenix FC technical staff.

We try to maintain a ratio of 6-8 Goalkeepers per coach.

Registration fees cover:

Technical program/ training cost

Facility/Field rental cost

ASA membership and insurance costs

Schedule and Changes:

Schedules are subject to change with league updates released one week before startup.

Thunder, lightning, air quality advisories, and heat index may lead to session/game cancellations.

Rescheduling will be attempted where possible, but not guaranteed.
